Designed by Oscar Torlasco
Manufactured by Lumi Milano in the 1950s
The lamps refined structure is a harmonious blend of primary forms: a black lacquered lamp shade and a weighted polished aluminum base for stability.
Nickel details add a modern touch, while the pivot coupling allows effortless adjustment, enabling you to direct the light exactly where you need it.
A perfect marriage of form and function, these lamps feature a single E14 socket and work beautifully with a 25-40W bulb or an LED equivalent.
Whether as statement pieces for a desk, side table, or side table, these adjustable table lamp by Torlasco add understated charm and versatility to any interior.
The lamp are marked with a 'Lumi' sticker.
Italian lighting designer Oscar Torlasco (born in Rome, 1934-2004) designed for a wide array of Italian lighting manufacturers including Esperia and Stilkronen, though he spent most of his career designing for Lumi.
Particularly active during the 1950s and 1960s, Torlasco’s lighting designs - which span sconces, floor lamps, and chandeliers - often utilized industrial chromed steel which he paired with more luxurious materials such as marble, crystal, and brass. His eclectic designs ranged in style from industrial and Space Age to Italian Art Deco. In 1959, he was awarded a Compasso d`Oro for his public street light Genova 4053 (1959).
