Spectacular Pair Of Ceramic Lamps By Antoinette Faragallah
About the Item
In Mid-Century Style by California Ceramicist and artist Antoinette Faragallah. Twin light lamps of molded off white and black speckled ceramic with high relief decorative elements. With patinated brass mounts. Older white fabric cords and plugs. The Artist’s initials impressed in the clay.
Dimensions: Each Lamp measures H. 35 1/2", Diam. 7"
Condition: Please see all detail photos. One lamp has a missing clay square, otherwise retaining a fantastic and striking presentation.
This artist takes her inspiration from the sea world, and she particularly likes to work with clays that have a texture. She uses glazes and oxides that have both natural and metallic appearances.
I’m most comfortable when my hands are busy. Somehow when I’m working with clay, my subconscious takes over and creative dots get connected. That takes me to another place, almost like being in childhood. What inspires me while working with clay is hearing my quiet self. For me, it is a true form of meditation.
