About the Item

H 90 cm W 80 cm D 18 cm Material: painted sheet steel, nickel-plated brass, painted cast iron, bakelite shade holder and switch, enameled sheet iron shade, black textile-coated connection cable, one E 27 light point, switch integrated in shade holder. Condition: good Special features: with few signs of use. Here we show an extremely rare work light for clamping by the Berlin manufacturer AEG. The lamp has a very special design. All parts are specially made for this model, no ready-made parts were used. The bakelite shade holder has a patented holding system for the collar of the enameled reflector and the switch is integrated. The cable outlet at the bottom is also made of Bakelite. The extremely strong, cast-iron clamping device with the adjustable ball head ensures a firm hold on the worktop and optimum adjustability. About this object: This AEG work clamp lamp from the 1930s was manufactured with mechanical aesthetics and top quality. Sometimes these lamps are attributed to Prof. Peter Behrens, but since Behrens only worked for AEG until 1913, we see no reason for this. But even so, the lamp has its own charm and offers the best usability.
