Ali model in layered glass and transparent glass structure Original label Prod. Fontana Arte, 1986. Designed by Denis Santachiara. Biography Denis Santachiara, born in 1950 in Campagnola, RE. Began his career in the early seventies, drawn by the poetic-linguistic potential of new technologies and the aesthetic processes linked to various industrial environments. His work, at the border between art and design, has been shown, among other venues, at the MoMa in New York, the Musèe des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, the National Museum of Art in Tokyo and the Triennale in Mlan. In 1984 starts the exhibition-manifesto "The Neomerce, the invention and artificial ecstasy", held at the Milan Triennale and at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. In 1986, curates the exhibition "Signs of Habitat" presented at the Grand Palais Paris and at the Berlage Museum in Amsterdam. Between 1988 and 1992 plans, in cooperation with the French Ministry of Culture, the interior of the Charterhouse of Avignon and the museum of magic in Blois. In 1993 signes the furnishings for the Toyama square in Japan and in 1994-95 the interiors of the Art Hotel in Dresden. In 1996, wins the ZIP International Competition for the city of Saarbrucken; in the same year curates the installation of the exhibition "The New Person" for the Florence Biennale. In 1998 participates to the furnishing of a new electronic banking system site for Assicurazioni Generali and works at the conception of 'a playful animal Children', commissioned by the French Ministry of Culture for the celebrations of 2000. In 1999 he receives the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and in April 2000 "the Design World" award. He has collaborated and still collaborates with Italian and foreign companies to design and research new products, such as Artemide, Baler Italy, Bang-Olufsen, BPT, Campeggi, De Padova, Fiat, Foscarini, Mandarina Duck, Marutomy, Montedison, La Murrina, Nintendo, Panasonic, Rosenthal, Sector No Limits, SNIA Viscosa, Superga, Swatch , Vitra, ZERODISEGNO, to name a few. 2018 founds cyrcus ,design in digital fabrication. 2018 publishes “Download Design” sole 24 ore cultura. 2022 Degree with Honoris Causa from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera Mi.
