About the Item

A beautiful and exquisite handmade table lamp in art glass encased with 24-karat gold by Glass House Marcolin Art Crystal, Sweden and a white Classic pleated white lampshade. Färe-Marcolin Art Glass (from 1983 FM Marcolin Art Crystal, and from 1989 Marcolin Art Crystal) was a glass house in Ronneby, Sweden, that made art glass during the years 1961-1991. Among their products is a series about animals (moose head, dolphin) and one about Snobben. The glass cottage was owned by two brothers Josef and Benito Marcolin from Murano. Also their brothers Giovanni and Luigi and sister Anna-Maria with husband Aure Toso (also him a glass master) were involved in the movement. The brothers came to Glimma glassworks in Glimåkra, Sweden in 1954 and continued to Reijmyre glassworks before they started their own. The name Färe in the company name came from Joseph's wife who was born Färe.
