Table Lamp Black Forest Handcrafted Dwarf and Magic Mushrooms, Germany, 1920s
About the Item
Take a look at this unique and extremly beautiful table lamp, which is a rare masterpiece of German craftsmanship and design. Age does nothing to its beauty. The lamp base was elaborately carved by hand with very experienced craftsmanship and shaped into a unique object. The little dwarf has taken a comfortable seat between the magical forest mushrooms to take a break and enjoy his life. The dwarf leans with his back against a wonderfully shaped tree trunk and looks out at the world. The lampshade was sawn out and put together by hand in a very elaborate masterpiece of craftsmanship, the individual parts of the lampshade are fixed with wooden olives, over the many decades a minimal gap has arisen between the individual lampshade segments, which further underlines the charm of this lamp. The lamp is switched on and off using a pull switch. The light bulb socket is an Edisson E27 thread. The plug is a European version, an adapter for the US market is included.
