About the Item
Very rare table lamp model B 231 designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson. Produced by his own company during the 1960s. Made from seven polished brass pillars standing on a round brass base. Seven hand blown clear glass shades with conical shape. Hans-Agne Jakobsson had one of Swedens largest lighting factories and was leading in producing high quality lighting for home use. His at the time avant garde approach and modernistic expression in combination of meticulous standards of quality have cemented his works to become modern classics sought after all over the world. This particular table lamp is a very rare example that dosen't surface often on the market. Signed with label. Very good vintage condition with age related patina from use and wear.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
