Table Lamp in Walnut and Plexiglass, Germany - 1955

About the Item

H 50 cm W 30 cm D 17 cm Material: solid walnut base, clear lacquered, clear lacquered brass mounting, opaque white Plexiglas reflectors, one E 27 light point with pull switch. Condition: good original condition Special features: with few signs of use. This unusual table lamp from Germany, produced in the mid-1950s, was designed in an organic shape. The connection cable had to be replaced and now it shines again! About this object: This unusual table lamp from the 1950s is reminiscent of the slightly drooping shape of a lily of the valley. The amorphously shaped half-shells in opaque white Plexiglas provide good diffusion and were formed by hand. This lamp could only have been produced in a small series, as the Plexiglas shells are recognizably slightly irregular.
