Table lamp, Wiktor Berndt for Flygsfors Sweden
About the Item
A very rare model glass table lamp by Flygsfors of Sweden.Wonderful moss green color that was typical of Flygsfors.The base has a pattern all around in relief representing - in quite an abstract way - human faces with big ears.
We have once sold one and one other time seen glass table lamps by Flygsfors before with abstract cat faces but never with this "human" pattern.
The design is by Wiktor Berndt. Berndt was well known for his rudimentary almost Scandinavian runic style patterns of people and animals on his transparent vases and other objects for Flygsfors but this pattern on a cased / colored lamp base is next to unique.
We estimate this lamp to be from the period 1970 - 1975.
