About the Item
Designed by the Amsterdam-based Italian duo CContinua+Mamt, the Vestale lamp evokes a world suspended between dream and reality, blending Eastern influences with Mediterranean memories — weaving a rich tapestry of cultures and echoes from different times. This sculptural lamp, with its soft, minimalist geometry, comes to life through a warm diffusion of light, creating a poetic play of transparencies that give any space a distinctive identity.
The lantern features ethereal satin textile volumes, delicately embroidered with hand-guided machines, adorned with decorative patterns inspired by nature and intimate moments of domestic life. Thin sheets of porcelain, hand-molded and decorated with the duo’s signature primitive designs, are applied to the fabric’s surface, transforming it into a vibrant canvas that enhances its narrative quality.
This almost metaphysical layering of surfaces — satin fabric and porcelain, shadow and light — creates a refined dialogue between material and immaterial elements. The lamps reveal feminine forms and zoomorphic silhouettes, resulting in a sophisticated, sensual conversation reminiscent of the intimacy of a French boudoir.
This piece bridges past and future, radiating both warm and quiet reverence.
Structure made of iron, lampshade in embroidered polyester, with application of handmolded decotared porcelain figures.
Limited edition 9 pieces per colour.
