About the Item
This is a gorgeous vintage wrought iron and pressed amber glass table lamp. The warmth and luminosity of amber glass is only part of the attraction for this mid century table lamp from the 1960s or 1970s according to our appraiser. It is reminiscent of Spanish influence with its geometric styling and wrought iron scrolls.
The polyhedron sided amber pressed glass body has a square panel decoration and tapered form housing. At the heart of the lamp, there's a pierced incandescent-looking cylinder that rests on a square cast iron base, that visually balances the wrought iron scrolls at the top.. The effect of the light source and the cylinder generate a sort of warmth and drama in a room. This mid century lighting example is in wonderful condition, in need only of the proper lamp shade.
