A rare pair of early 19th century French grand-scale Neoclassical gilt and painted wood mirrors. Carved frames are painted white with floral and leaf gilt details. Neoclassism flourished in the 19th century, especially in the decorative arts and interior design, The gilt and white color schemes were embraced for the opulence balanced with classical restraint. At almost seven feet, mirrors will make a dramatic focal point in any room.
