About the Item
La bellezza della specchiera risiede nella sua essenzialità, nella sua semplicità: è priva di cimasa o controcimasa, così come di laterali o di decorazioni particolari. La cornice è modellata in più sbalzature ed è realizzata in legno di abete come supporto e ottone come rivestimento. Lo specchio non è realizzato con la tecnica al mercurio in quanto a inizio '900 tale tecnica era già stata vietata, bensì è un vetro argentato, processo invece non dannoso per gli artigiani che lo producevano.
Particolarità della specchiera sono le sue grandi dimensioni, le quali suggeriscono la possibilità di utilizzo per la vestizione in un atelier.
