About the Item
Make a statement in your home with this elegant antique mirror. Crafted in France circa 1730 during the reign of King Louis XIV, the Period mirror features an elaborate carved and pierced frieze at the pediment featuring a carved cherub figure beneath a stylized rocaille frame. The lattice ground is graced by scrolling acanthus leaves and C-curves. The original, rectangular mercury glass is framed by twisting ribbon borders. The large mirror is in excellent condition and has a rich patinated gilt finish. Place this important mirror over a mantel or a chest of drawers for the ultimate Royalty look.
