An Art Nouveau toilet mirror

About the Item

Stunning figural mirrors such as this would have adorned the bedrooms of society ladies throughout the 19th and into the early 20th centuries! The circular base, raised on four feet is boldly engraved with acanthus leaf decoration. The stem formed as a classical maiden holding a garland of roses. The frame decorated with pronounced flowers, foliage and applied butterflies, symbolises hope, rebirth and love. A really beautiful piece with the most intricate of details depicting fine quality!
