Brass Easel Form Aesthetic Movement Vanity Dresser Mirror c 1880s after Dresser
About the Item
Charming cast brass easel mirror, having a bevelled glass mirrored center panel. This piece was made in the late 19th century, and is an example of the Aesthetic Movement. Reminiscent of Christopher Dresser, the frame is marked " Pat. Apl. For 597 " on verso, as shown. The frame has a ring at the top, if you prefer to use this as a hanging wall mirror instead of a vanity, or table top piece.
In very fine original clean and ready to use condition, the mirror shows some oxidation, normal and consistent with age.
