About the Item

Composed of a metal frame using molten metal technology, which gives the mirror its original shape, and copper and gilded brass inclusions on the surface of the frame, as well as metal additions that give the frame relief. The inside of the frame is fitted with a mirror. It is signed on the inside of the frame (see photo). François Lavrat was born in Orleans in 1962. In his work, he has adopted the molten metal technique inherited from his father, André Lavrat. He holds a degree in plastic arts and is a former student of the Ecole Boulle.
