19th Century Black Forest Hall Stand, Swiss-German, circa 1890

About the Item

This particular hall stand dates back to the latter part of the 19th century. It has incredible detail, with carved antler horns, as well as using antlers not just for the structure of the hall stand but for detailed decorative elements throughout. At the bottom, a compartment for walking sticks (or swagger sticks as they would have been referred to at the time), with a drawer above for keys or other trinkets. Above that, a lovely shaped bevelled mirror flanked by protruding horns for coats and hats. It is truly one of the best examples of late 19th/ early 20th century antler furniture. CONDITION In Great Condition - wear as expected, no damage or restorations of note. Please refer to photographs. Size Height: 214cm Width: 112cm Depth: 65cm.
