About the Item

Empire-style rectangular mirror in rosewood. In carved wood, with a robust frame and a striking presence, the structure features two fluted vertical columns on the sides, with decorated capitals, reminiscent of classical architecture. The upper frame is extended, forming a projecting cornice, while the lower base follows the profile, creating visual balance. The mirror has a rectangular shape with straight edges and a slightly weathered surface, which reinforces its antique and authentic character. The wood is dark, with a varnished finish that emphasises the natural veins and with a carved frieze around the inside perimeter that adds to its beauty. This piece is ideal for classic interiors or eclectic environments that incorporate historical elements. It works as an entrance mirror, over chests of drawers or sideboards, and is both functional and highly decorative. An elegant example of 19th century or neoclassical-inspired furniture.
