19th Century Florentine Baroque Style Giltwood Hand Carved Mirror Frame

About the Item

This is a beautiful hand carved and gilded mirror frame. It is a dramatic wall hanging with a stunning depth of more than 3 inches. The circa 1880 Baroque style frame was created in Florence, Italy. The gilt is original to the period and has acquired a warm and glowing patina. There was some regilding done. This decorative antique frame would make a splendid addition to any room. Condition: Some small missing gold flakes are noticed. Wear commensurate with age and use. Mirror added at a later date. Size: H 29 ½” x W 21 ½” x D 3 ¼”. Weight: 10 ½ lb.
