About the Item

Exceptional antique French Louis XVI style giltwood and gesso mirror. The arched plate below an elaborate cresting of scrolling ornaments and flowers with two beautifully carved winged cherubs supporting a central oval plaque with a female relief, flanked by two urns with flowers. Circa: 1870 Dimensions: Measures: Height: 66" (167.6 cm) Width: 41.5" (105.4 cm) Depth: 5" (12.7 cm).
