Antique Wall Mirror in Red Wood and Decorative Plaques
About the Item
Splendid antique mirror dating from the 1900s, of fine French manufacture.
The mirror is a very beautiful and simple wall mirror with a very beautiful red wooden frame.
Its shape is rectangular, but the peculiarity lies in the workmanship of the frame: in fact, the corners are not classical, but are decorated with gilded plates representing leaves, which seem to frame every single corner of the mirror. Between each corner are five thin golden lines carved into the frame that seem to give continuity, which is very beautiful. In the top centre is a hook through which the mirror can be hung.
The actual mirror has no cracks or abrasions, original to the period.
The mirror is suitable for lovers of antiques and elegant, pompous settings.
