Circa 1860 French Carved & Gilt Wood Mirror
About the Item
Napoleon III, c.1860, carved & gilt wood mirror. French. Rococo style with asymmetrical foliage & rosette crest flanked by acanthus leaves. The entire frame well carved. Some red showing through the gilding, typical for the age; as are the fairly minor mercury deposits in the mirror.
Measures: 38 1/4" H, 25 1/2" W, 3" D.
