About the Item
Opulent and rare hand-carved wall mirror designed by Dennis and Leen Hollywood, CA. Known as the "New York Spanish Mirror" brilliantly carved in the baroque taste. The large frame features scrolled acanthus and flowers with shell rocaille on each top corner. The wood has an antique glazed finish with a distressed patina to mimic age. Bespoke mirror custom-ordered for an estate in Sausalito, California by designer Ron Wilson "Designer to the Stars" (American 1938-2011). Original order tag is affixed to back. The mirror has a dramatic presence with deep, boldly carved relief. Very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Statement mirror perfect for an entry or foyer.
