Early 19th Century American Federal Gilt Wood Mirror

This magnificent carved and gilt wood, circa 1820-1840, Federal Mirror has foliage in a Classical urn finial between opposing Cornucopias. The Cornucopias frame an ovoid shaped mirror. The exceptional frame is carved wood that has gilding in two tones with the dark areas burnished for contrast.
