Exceptional Large Superb Venetian Etched Murano Glass Mirror Antique 1890 -1900s
About the Item
It is a delightful classic Venetian mirror from the island of Murano in glass mirror surrounded with handmade dark pink / burgundy glass flowers, engraved and worked entirely by hand according to the Murano tradition, with rounded and hand-engraved parts in the corners.
We were told that the Age should be from the 1890s to early 20th Century.
A luxurious mirror for luxury furnishings.
A view small little distressed or blind spots in the mirror but this is old-age.
This mirror was restored by a well-known Murano artist. It had some wood issues, but these were fixed. There were also loose flowers and damage to the glass edge ornaments. These were replaced with the hand-made parts in the original color. For safe transport, the mirror is now screwed into a wooden box from the back and can be transported safely (just check the last picture added).
The wooden box is approx. 61.5 inches high, 34.25 inches wide and 9 inches deep. The total weight is approx. 60 - 75 lbs.
