Fine Italian Adam Style Paint Decorated and Git Beveled Mirror
About the Item
Made in Italy, an elegant and intricate painted and gilt sectioned wall mirror. A fine Adam style beveled mirror with segmented mirrored surround. With a classic Adam style crest with acanthus leaf and palmette on top of curved leaves with rosettes. Details and the top and side frames in antique green tone paint. The crest with scrolling gilt leaves, rosettes on the ends, and sides with pendant leaves. Outer ribbon twist gilt surround with large acanthus leaves anchoring the segmented mirrors.
Measures: height 56", wide 32', depth 2 1/2".
Condition: the lower mirror band with some spot losses to the silver, slight wear to the gilt on some lower leaves which do not detract from the elegant display.
