About the Item
Hollywood Regency giltwood oval mirror with carved shells frame with beige accents. Manufactured by Francisco Hurtado, Spain, 1950s
One of a kind finely carved oval large mirror with an exquisite hand carved shell motif frame.
This mirror was handcrafted at the Mid-Century Modern period in the Hollywood Regency style. The oval frame is comprised by a pattern of carved scallop shells starting at the top with a large shell and decreasing in size to the bottom. A pattern of wood carved small clams surrounds the glass at the interior part. It has been carefully restored to preserve its original patina in gold leaf finishing accented by off white lacquered details.
Overall dimensions: 108cm H x 71,5 cm W ( 42,51 in H x 28,14 in W )
Glass dimensions: 84 cm H x 50 cm W ( 33,07 in H x 19,68 in W ).
