Mirror. Embossed metal, glass. XIX century. Signed. Wall mirror with a frame made of embossed metal decorated with an architectural composition of marked classicist taste and Italian memories flanked, above, by two embraced putti, and by two monstrous grotesques at the bottom. The signature is located under the head of one of these two mythological figures. The theme of embracing child figures or putti was frequent in art since the 17th century, but especially later during the Rococo, and continues to be used afterwards.
