About the Item
A wonderful pair of Italian 19th century Baroque st. Giltwood and Green Polychrome mirrors. Each unique mirror with its original mirror plate is framed within a square Giltwood frame with mottled edges. The base of each mirror is decorated with foliate scroll designs and Giltwood accents. Leading up each side of the mirror are scrolling acanthus leaves on the top and bottom with a Giltwood floral central reserve. The top capital of each mirror is designed with the uniquely colored green Polychrome and mottled Giltwood accents below the top crown with a wonderfully carved central seashell flanked by scrolling Giltwood acanthus leaves.
