An impressive and most elegant pair of Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. polychrome and giltwood mirrors. Each oval mirror retains its original mirror plates set within a striking mottled polychrome frame with a beautiful finely detailed foliate band and richly carved wrap around band with leaves. At the base are lovely pierced reserves with scrolled acanthus leaves and elegant foliate designs. The top crowns display exceptional central floral wreaths flanked by branches tied with charming ribbons.
