About the Item

Set of two round-shaped wall mirror model Narciso with frames in brushed nickel-plated brass and mirrored crystals. The Narciso mirror can be mounted on the wall thougth the chains applied on the back. Designed by Sergio Mazza and manufactured by Artemide in the late 1960s. Measurements: Diameter: 62 cm - height: 62 cm - depth: 3 cm (big one) Diameter: 42 cm - height: 42 cm - depth: 3 cm (small one) In 1959 the architect Sergio Mazza founded with the aeronautical engineer Ernesto Gismondi the Artemide company in Milan, specialized in lighting equipment. Despite the artisan beginning of this company, in a short time, Artemide established itself as one of the most important and qualified brands in this field, thanks to the collaboration with some of the most important designers of this time such as Vico Magistretti, Studio BBPR, Gio Ponti. The Artemide products are characterized by essential aesthetics mixed with the technologies of industrial design, and at the same time, they are able to express the Italian design tradition through the choice and sophisticated processing of materials. In the 1960s Sergio Mazza designed his most famous lamps ( Delta, Tau, Sigma, Alfa, and Clio lamps) for Artemide, that become quickly design icons that were also included in important collections of prestigious international museums.
