Studio Simon Otero Mirror For Cassina
This design mirror produced by Studio Simon replicates a slit, a blade of light in the wall. An elongated rectangle that reflects everything around it.
The glass is beveled along the vertical edge and provided with a painted support with polished mirrored finish.
Created by Studio Simon, Otero is beveled on the vertical edges, its
support being polyester painted, with a mirror-gloss finish. Like an
arrow slit in the wall, or a slash of light, this rectangular mirror reflects
everything that surrounds it

Stand
· In MDF polyester-base painting and
black polish finish.
Protective bumpers
· In white rubber.

Ground clear glass, polyester painted support with polished mirror finish.
Measurements:
180 x 19 x 4 cm

About the Designer:
Dino Gavina, (1922-2007), began his career in the 40's working on stage sets, a great passion of his. He was convinced that design needed to be both modern and richly poetic, and soon began to gain support from many of the country's leading designers and architects: "fathers of the country", as he jokingly refers to them, including Carlo Scarpa, Enzo Mari, Marcel Breuer, to name but a few. His work in those years was an important starting point for what then came to be known as Italian Style, and has since come to stand for top quality, giving Italian design the prestigious reputation that it still enjoys today throughout the whole world.
