About the Item

Venetian Sir & Lady Pair of engraved Murano Glass Mirrors Gold Finishes 1900s This pair of Murano glass mirrors, entirely handcrafted by Venetian master glassmakers in the 1900s, is a fine piece of furniture inspired by the elegance and sumptuousness of the ancient Venice. The mirrors, mounted on a wooden frame designated to hang on the wall, are hand-engraved on a silver surface. The first engraving illustrates a lady, the second one a gentleman, both dressed in the clothing and footwear typical of the 15th- and 16th-century Venetian Republic. Engraved curls forming a garland complete the decoration. The mirrors are surrounded by a border of flowers, leaves and curls made of clear glass enriched with gold leaf, which gives it beautiful golden reflections. Add a touch of Italian history and tradition to your home with this work of art that reflects all the mastery of the Venetian ancient glass artists. The mirrors are original in all their parts and in excellent conditions, as documented in the attached pictures.
