About the Item
Beautiful Danish Side Table / Nightstand, attributed to Erling Torvits, 1960s
Charming and elegant side table from Denmark, dating back to the 1960s, attributed to designer Erling Torvits — a highly regarded name among collectors. We have chosen to use it as a slightly larger nightstand due to its versatile size and generous storage.
The piece features two spacious drawers, offering plenty of room for storage. Crafted in richly grained rosewood, the wood has a stunning glow with prominent and striking "tiger/zebra" patterns that create a beautiful contrast to the clean, square, and minimalistic lines of the design.
The cabinet is veneered in rosewood on the top, sides, back, and underside, while the handles and legs are made from solid rosewood.
There are minor surface scratches on the top, too fine to be captured in photographs. Additionally, there is a small darkened spot from a previously placed coffee cup, which can be seen in a close-up image.
We will provide the necessary CITES certification for the export of rosewood, which requires an additional 2–4 weeks for processing.
The piece will be carefully packed and shipped securely in a custom-built wooden crate, delivered to your door.
