This delightful baby cradle was handcrafted by a loving family in the mid 1800's. The original blue painted finish with white flowers has been worn away from years of use; especially areas where it was touched, even the tips of the base where a foot was placed to rock it. The thick natural pine is revealed below, including cracks, old dried wormholes, scratches, gouges etc. This wood cradle has been restored and waxed. It is solid/structurally sound. This delightful baby cradle was hand-crafted by a loving family in the mid 1800's. Note each of the narrow ends with dates and monograms. The original painted finish with red/orange panels, white flowers and green leaves is also gently appealing where the paint is worn away from years of use revealing the aged pine.
