About the Item

A fine example of a so called Polydre or Polygon. These multifaceted forms go back are to basic forms which form our world. They have been described by mathematicians, scolars and artists since antiquity. Models like these were made from the 16th century and later on by artisans and artists. This one probably was made as a model to proof the artisan's capabilities... a so called maitrise.
