Art Deco Weather Station made from a Wooden Airplane Propeller, 1930s
About the Item
Unusual, sculptural and one of a kind weather station made from the center-piece of a large wooden airplane propeller. It was professionally re-purposed by hand in Denmark during the late 1930s, possibly from a US Sensenich propeller or a Scandinavian/German equivalent. Beautiful organic curves, high-quality details and distinct aviation art deco styling. It features a stylish thermometer and a hub/boss placed brass barometer with a thick glass front.
