12 DESIRE is our collaboration with DIFFA, Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS. The art dealer Paul Morris helped us gather all the original artwork printed in the issue, which was then exhibited at Charles Cowles Gallery and auctioned, with all of the proceeds benefiting DIFFA’s charitable programs. The issue comes in a red-satin case with bone latches, modeled after Chinese brocade jewelry boxes. These were made by hand in China. Each edition opens with an actual print of a three-dimensional photograph of Shalom Harlow shot by Stephane Sednaoui. Sixty more artists contributed their own sexy and suggestive imagery, including Steven Meisel, Barbara Kruger, Nobuyoshi Araki, Nan Goldin, Ross Bleckner, David Armstrong, Jack Pierson, Steven Klein, and Bjork.
Visionaire is an experiential agency that has been collaborating with artists, influencers, and fortune 500 companies for over 25 years.
