About the Item
Extra large carved pink and black marble pieces with an artisan made oversized 22"W x 22"D chess board in a glossy finish. These are the largest and most stylized chess pieces we have seen in two decades in the vintage and antiques business. We have purchased and sold dozens of marble chess sets and this is definitely in our top five favorite sets.
Absolutely beautiful tone and quality for each carved piece. The black marble queen does have a repair; please note this.
The perfect set to leave out for a game anytime as it enhances any environment where it is displayed. The hand-carved pieces are each like a miniature sculpture and have great "hand-feel". The board is hefty and solid with many glossy layers the reflect light in a purely magical way.
