19th century solid silver knitting needle case or sheath, possibly German or Dutch. Typical long, tapering box form. Elaborate filigree decoration heightened by flowers and repetitive lines. 2.45 troy oz. 10 1/2" long, 1 1/8" x 1 1/4" cover.
