About the Item
A counter display vendor machine for candy by Magna.
This is an antique Magna Vendor peanut machine. The vending machine was crafted in Iowa United States by the National Manufacturing Co., back in 1934. Designed with industrial machine age patterns during the late art deco period with parts made up in solid cast iron, clear glass, aluminum and chromed steel. It is all original including the beautiful red and black decal. The iconic glass globe is in perfect shape with no chips or cracks. It was polished and cleaned time ago and now has a great original look to it. Works great on a penny. Display gorgeous and should be a great conversation piece.
The Magna Vender Machine
This was a very popular brand of 1-cent bulk candy and peanut vending machine, particularly from the 1930s. These machines, manufactured by the National Manufacturing Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, featured a cast aluminum body, a distinctive 16-sided glass globe, and a coin entry to the left. They were designed to vend a variety of bulk candies and peanuts and became a common sight in various locations. The Magna Vender's design and popularity peaked during the 1930’s, a period when bulk vending machines were becoming increasingly common. The machines were manufactured by the National Manufacturing Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A notable feature was the polished cast aluminum body and the unique 16-sided original glass globe. The machines were designed to dispense various types of bulk peanuts and candies, typically for one cent. Magna Vender machines are now sought-after collectibles, prized for their nostalgic appeal and historical value as examples of early vending machine technology.

This extremely rare Ronson Deluxe Classic Touch-Tip lighter was made in 1938 by the Ronson Art Metal Works Inc. located in Newark, New Jersey in the United States. This lighter began a very successful era for Ronson Touch Tip series of lighters which pushed out the strike lighters from the market. This fabulous Art Deco / Machine Age design, was crafted with streamline patterns. Solid construction in polished chrome and the metal body is treated with brown faux tortoise lacquer and the lighter base is padded with green felt. This surely is a very decorative piece and a great conversation item in gorgeous and exceptional preserved and almost near mint condition with the original cardboard box included.

This is a superb and very rare table desk semi automatic petrol lighter, created in Cincinnati Ohio by Samuel E. Ghinn, back in 1923. This lighter was manufactured at the S.E. Guinn Mfg. Co. with geometric patterns in solid polished brass. The ignition mechanism is semiautomatic, with a very unusual and complicate system. Guinn is best known for his distinctive automatic table and desktop Bell Lighters, Samuel Guinn was an important early American designer and manufacturer. Guinn's first lighter design was patented in 1917, an automatic ferrocerium sparking attachment for gas kitchen stoves. His first full automatic petrol lighter design was patented in 1923, more than three years before the more famous Ronson "one motion" design. Guinn patented several variations of his original lighter design during the mid 1920, reflecting both mechanical improvements and different design variations targeted for home and commercial use. Lighter production continued until the early 1930s when the company went bankrupt, Guinn passed away in 1935. This piece is very gorgeous with an outstanding look and great eye appeal. This will be a great conversation piece and magnificent important addition to any tobacco or lighter collector.
