About the Item
Antique English Pond Yacht purchased in the town of Leek, England over 25-years ago and just purchased from a serious collector. Pond Yachts date from the middle 1800’s and unfortunately, we are not well enough versed to be able to date the Pond Yacht. Judging by the construction of the boat and the brass we would guess the Pond Yacht dates from around c1900. The Antique English Pond Yacht is being offered exactly as she came out of the private collection and no restoration on our part was required. During the 1860s there were international tournaments between model yachtsmen in the United States and Great Britain.
