This is a pair of antique decorative figures. An English, painted cast iron putto on elm base, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870. Delightfully unusual figures with Rubenesque appeal Displaying a desirably aged patina throughout Substantial cast iron bodies with lightly time worn painted finish Each figure sits upon a painted elm base with gadrooned form Superb weight, the figures weighing 4.79kg (10.6 lb) and 4.72kg (10.4 lb) respectively This is a fascinating pair of antique decorative figures, with a wonderfully Victorian appeal to the cherubic appearance they possess.
