About the Item
Custom made water pitcher made for J Pierpont Morgans private yacht Corsair, flagship of the New York Yacht Club. Both sides are adorned with Morgans private burgees of a crescent moon and star on a red field and the New York Yacht Club flag. Bottom has makers name James Shaw, New York 1895. With gilded decoration. Corsair II was launched in in 1895 and became the N.Y.Y.C. Flagship while J.P. Morgan was commodore. This is a super rare relic of yachting history. Dimensions: 8"H x 7"W
