About the Item

This exquisite Machzor, a Jewish High Holiday prayer book, is encased in an ornate silver binding crafted by I.M. Fain, a very well known Jewish silversmith who worked in Israel during 1950's. The cover features intricate filigree work, detailed repoussé, and symbolic engravings, with Hebrew inscriptions surrounded by elaborate floral and geometric patterns. Two prominent gemstones, possibly aquamarine and onyx, are set into the design, adding to its opulence. The back cover showcases twelve circular medallions, each embossed with significant Judaic and biblical motifs, representing the Twelve Tribes of Israel. The spine and clasp are finely worked, ensuring both durability and aesthetic refinement. Marked ".925" and "Made in Israel", this prayer book is a masterful blend of religious devotion and fine craftsmanship, likely crafted in 20th-century Israel as a collector’s or ceremonial item. Every item in Menorah Galleries is accompanied by a Lifetime Certificate of Authenticity and additional documentation and information regarding the individual artifact and its culture.
