About the Item
The left hand brass enunciator was mounted in the pilot house and moved the pointer and rang bells of the engine room instrument mounted to its right on the Mahogany backboard where a similar set of orders for execution were recorded.
They have dials with the standard Ahead and Astern commands FULL AHEAD, HALF, SLOW, DEAD SLOW, STAND BY, STOP. Moving the knob on the bridge telegraph moves the pointer. There is no bell and the two devices are not connected.
