Large and rare, solid wooden vintage golfer sculpture with glass eyes.
This golfer in his early to mid 20th century golf outfit is ready to take on the Augusta National and he is an absolute joy to own and look at. The natural and cery relaxed body posture is very well carved out of solid wood (probably elm) and it reveals the work of a skilled artist. Every golfer knows that the key to playing a good round is the inner peace that needs to come over you. And after that perfect round you will realize that it was that inner calmness that was at the root of playing your A-game. Looking at the very relaxed posture of this dressed to impress Scottish male golfer, we feel he is ready to break down the course. The stylish Scottish tartan socks are one give away of this players nationality, but we feel the blue and white of the golfclub too refer to the colors of the Scottish flag. This large size and all hand-carved wooden sculpture even comes with the original glass eyes and from top to bottom this vintage statue is in superb condition. Have you also noticed the leather glove on his left hand? It is details like this that make this sculpture stand out and that make it a real talking piece.
