About the Item

This antique mechanical toy is unsigned, but presumed to have been made in Europe, possibly England or Austria in approximately 1880 and done in the period Victorian style. The toy depicts as small kitten with brown stripes. The clock wind mechanism has been over wound, so is currently not working, but it is presumed that the toy walked, and the tail and head likely moved from side to side. The toy itself is in good period condition, but the key provided is not original.
