We are delighted to offer for sale this one of a kind scratch built circa 1910 children’s pull along Flying Scotsman LNER 4472 train sold at Christies in 2013
A very large and decorative piece, this train sold at Christie’s in London South Kensington on the 5th September 2013 for £1750, including commission it was £2310
This is a good sized train, it was designed for one small child to sit in the back and be pulled along, I think they were called “tug a long’s” this is a scratch built piece which means its one of kind. The paint finish is totally original, nothing is missing, it is stable and could be used again for its intended purpose or as a decorative locomotive piece
